Tropical Storm Emily : ウィキペディア英語版 | Tropical Storm Emily The name Emily has been used for six tropical cyclones in the Atlantic Ocean, and five tropical cyclones in the Eastern Pacific Ocean. It was used in the Eastern Pacific before the formal naming system was instituted, and then it was used on the old four-year lists. There were also two other ''Emily''-named storms in the Indian Ocean (in the 1961-62 season) and near Australia (in the 1971-72 season). Atlantic Basin: *1981's Hurricane Emily - crossed Bermuda *Hurricane Emily (1987) - caused considerable damage to Saint Vincent, Dominican Republic, and Bermuda. *Hurricane Emily (1993) - came within 25 miles of Hatteras Island, North Carolina *1999's Tropical Storm Emily - absorbed by Hurricane Cindy without threatening land. *Hurricane Emily (2005) - earliest recorded Category 5 storm; caused damage in Grenada, Quintana Roo, and Tamaulipas. *Tropical Storm Emily (2011) - caused minor damage throughout the Caribbean.
